Rules & Usage<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If the statement Part of a Question Tag is  in Affirmative or positive, the Question Part is written in Interrogative \u2013Negation tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    <\/strong> <\/strong>Ram is a dancer,<\/strong> <\/strong>isn\u2019t she?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If the Statement Part of a Question Tag is  in Negative,or having negative words like \u2013nay,no,none,non,not,nothing,naught,never,nor,neither,   the Question Part is written in Affirmative or possitve question tag .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            <\/strong> <\/strong>Ramesh  is not a dancer<\/strong>, is he?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words like This \/ That, are used  as the Subject of Statement  is changed into \u2018It\u2019 in Question tag .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

               <\/strong> <\/strong>This is a new car,<\/strong> <\/strong>isn\u2019t it?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words like This \/ That + Noun,  are used as the Subject of Statement gets Pronoun in Question tag   according to the Noun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Boy is honest,   <\/strong>isn\u2019t he?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Pen is red<\/strong>,   isn\u2019t it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words like These \/ Those, are used as the Subject of Statement  is changed into \u2018they\u2019 in Question tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/strong>These are new cars<\/strong>, <\/strong>aren\u2019t they?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word like One (In sense of everybody \/ anybody) is used as the Subject of Statement  is changed into \u2018we \/<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Subject of  Statement of a Question Tag has the first person pronoun -\u2018I\u2019, Verb \u2018was\u2019 and Sentence (Affirmative) the Question tag  is written as \u2018weren\u2019t I?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was a dancer,<\/strong> <\/strong>weren\u2019t I?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Subject of Statement of a Question Tag has the first person pronoun -\u2018I\u2019, Verb \u2018was\u2019 and Sentence<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negative the Question tag is written as \u2018was I?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was not a dancer,<\/strong> <\/strong>was I?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The Statement of a Question Tag without Auxiliary Verb or having main verbs only , gets Question tag  with the help of \u2018do \/ does \/ did\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Mohan plays cricket<\/strong>, doesn\u2019t he<\/strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He bought a car<\/strong>, <\/strong>didn\u2019t he?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The words like \u2018Need\u2019 and  \u2018Dare\u2019 are used as Auxiliary Verbs  in Statement Part, gets Question tag with the help of \u2018need \/ dare\u2019only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I need not buy a car<\/strong>, <\/strong>need I?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The words like \u2018Need\u2019 and  \u2018Dare\u2019 are used as  main Verbs in Statement, gets Question tag with the help of \u2018do \/ does \/ did\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
